ALA, as a Service Provider for its Customers, manages the entire procurement cycle of the materials it is entrusted with, carrying out consumption estimation and materials planning, purchasing of materials from the best source, expediting, customs management, import/export licensing, material receiving, testing and quality control, warehousing and direct delivery to the Client’s production lines.

ALA studies the best solutions to be offered according to the needs expressed by the Client, becoming an operating strategic partner fully integrated into the Client’s processes and production lines, and offering effective services aiming for utmost process efficiency and continuous improvement.

With its network of +1,500 managed suppliers and its strong presence in Europe and around the world, ALA can handle any type of RFQ and LTA for materials such as: small parts, gaskets, electrical, indirect and equipment for the aerospace, rail, and industrial sectors, guaranteeing high supply performance even in the search for hard-to-find materials.

Through extensive stock availability, ALA is also capable of ensuring timely deliveries for a wide range of indirect production and commonly used materials on all major aircraft programs, both civil and military.

Direct line feed / Just in time delivery

Delivery of materials directly to customers’ production lines

ALA specializes in logistics services (DLF and JIT) involving deliveries of a wide range of materials directly to Customer points of use, within production sites and in accordance with specific line requirements.

This service allows Customer to have materials in the required quantities and on time, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency, in full compliance with just-in-time and pay-per-use concepts. The most obvious benefits for the Customer are: supply chain continuity on the production lines, optimization, and reduction of inventories in the Customer warehouse with immediate benefit on cash flow.

Our Client can then focus on its core business, while delegating to ALA activities, such as: planning, purchasing, supplier management, transportation, customs clearance paperwork, import/export licenses, quality control and deliveries.

Kitting

Supplying of Kits customized to the specific needs of Customers

ALA specializes in providing kits customized to Customers’ specific needs for both production and after-sales support activities, ensuring the most complete traceability of the kits, even for more complex logistics solutions.

Kits can be used as a Kanban tool to activate replenishment according to empty/full logic in clearly identified areas at Customers’ production sites.

Supply through kits thus ensures no missing materials, resulting in a marked improvement in operational performance and cost reduction for Customers.

Vending machines represent a flexible, secure, and customizable solution according to the Customer’s need.

Our solutions make all the necessary tools available on production lines or to MRO operators, offering access services to authorized operators through integration with company badges and thus making it easy to monitor expenses and stock levels.

Thanks to an extensive network of Suppliers and Partners, ALA offers the possibility to purchase and keep in stock a wide availability of Raw Materials in numerous alloys and formats for any weight and size, such as: bars, tubes, plates, blocks, honeycomb panels, rubberized sheets, plastic materials.

ALA also follows the entire Procurement process with a dedicated team, from order issuance, expediting, material receiving, dimensional and documentary testing to stocking of parts in the warehouse, ensuring maximum quality and flexibility.

Material planning

Consumption analysis, planning management and forecast calculation for materials managed by customers

ALA is able to run the material planning under management of its Customers through complex calculation models, anticipating Customer’s needs in the medium/long term and monitoring performances with dedicated KPIs, by means of an effective purchasing activity aimed at meeting the real line needs and minimizing the risks of material shortage.

Cut-to-size services

Customized cut-to-size services of raw materials

ALA offers customized cut-to-size services for the management of raw materials, not only to ensure deliveries of material in the dimensions desired by the Customer according to usage specifications, but also to minimize waste from scrap, by using qualified and specialized P/Ns.

Through a robust monitoring process, ALA is able to share real-time inventories in its warehouses with all dimensional information downstream of the cutting activities, also making deliveries directly to its Customers’ Subcontractors if necessary.
